Are you getting the most value out of Split’s measurement and learning capabilities? Using Instant Feature Impact Detection (IFID) with progressive rollouts, Split customers are able to easily find and fix every unexpected consequence in a snap. Led by Split’s Director of Product, Anita McDowell and Senior Integrations Advisor, Josh Klein, this session is designed for product and engineering teams and leaders who want to learn more about IFID, as well as walk through the tactical steps to get started. You’ll learn the five easy steps to adopt IFID today and can test out the functionality in a simulated environment to try it out.
In this session, we’ll walk you through the five easy steps of getting started with IFID. This will be a hands-on workshop where you can test and try out the functionality in a simulated environment.
Prerequisites:
Everyone is free to join and follow along with the live demo, but to get the most value, you need the following:
- Access to the Split App
- Use your existing Split account or create a demo account (instructions below)
- Please note: If you’re using your existing account, you must have the Measurement & Learning Add-on enabled. We also recommend creating a new workspace within the account for the workshop.
- Use your existing Split account or create a demo account (instructions below)
- Ability to run, download and install project prerequisites:
- NPM/NPX 9.5.1
- NodeJS 18.16.1
- Github CLI
- Ability to download packages from NPM
- Familiarity with web development concepts such as local development, navigating to a site at localhost, and basic knowledge of Javascript syntax
- Here is the link to the sample app used in the Workshop: https://github.com/Split-Community/demo-todolist-app
You can follow these instructions to create a free account that can be used as a sandbox for the hands-on demo:
- Go to the free account signup page
- In the email address field, you may need to use a modified email if you are already registered with an existing organization. We recommend adding +flagship to your email to get around this. For example, if your email is anita.mcdowell@split.io, you can use anita.mcdowell+flagship@split.io. (Those emails will still go to your inbox!)
- For the question “Why are you creating this account?” select “Try a 30-day trial of Split’s full product”
- Click “Create Free Account”
- You will receive an email in your inbox with instructions to complete the activation of your new demo account. When logging into Split, remember to use your modified email if you registered with that (e.g. anita.mcdowell+flagship@split.io)
